Who is Valley Design Corporation?
Valley Design Corporation is an AS9100D/ISO 9001:2015 certified, ITAR registered manufacturer of substrates, wafers, windows, precision shims and spacers and other flat optical and electro-optical components for semiconductor, telecommunications, medical, aerospace and research applications. They also offer precision machining services including lapping, polishing, dicing, backgrinding, 4&5 axis CNC machining and core / hole drilling.

A huge weight off his shoulders
Before JobBOSS², Valley Design Corp. used a combination of a homegrown system and Sage. Head of IT, Rob Indars says, "Going to [JobBOSS2] was a godsend. We had spent so much time on double entry. I can create a job traveler in half the time it used to take, and it takes a few minutes for repeat jobs. It’s an order of magnitude faster." His colleague who handles work orders used to take half a day to enter around 10 jobs. RFQs, responses, quotes, orders and travelers were all separate and needed to be reconciled. Now, he saves a significant amount by copying over repeat entries and since data flows between modules.
Because Valley Design Corp has customers who have Department of Defense work, they moved over to JobBOSS2 on GovCloud as soon as it received ITAR compliance. Rob had been asking about ITAR for a while. Though it's about 30% more expensive than Rob contracting directly with Amazon GovCloud, Rob says, " Hosting my data in-house is not as secure. I don't want to deal with the internal risks, and backups are only so good. I don't have to check backup reports. I've heard of all the ransomware stories and would rather put the burden on ECI to fight hackers. It's a huge weight off and really nice to be hands off."
