ECI Introduces Cloud-Based Order Snapshot for M1 Users

New application will enable manufacturers to provide customers with real-time updates on order statuses

ECI Software Solutions, a leader in cloud-based business management solutions, today announced the release of Order Snapshot, a new cloud-based web application for its M1® ERP software customers. With this new release, M1 hosted customers will be able to provide their customers with detailed and visual information on their order status, from the moment the order is entered into the system to after it has shipped.

Supply chains have been hugely disrupted as a result of the current pandemic, which means—in most cases—shipments are being delayed. Keeping customers updated on order statuses was already a mostly manual and time-intensive task that has been made more difficult by the uncertainties posed by COVID-19. To help manufacturing shipping departments more effectively communicate order and shipping statuses to their customers, ECI created the Order Snapshot application. This application not only fills the customer satisfaction gap—as the platform enables faster, more accurate updates on orders—but also allows shipping employees to spend less time on manual tasks. Additionally, the ground-up cloud infrastructure—built on ECI’s Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment—allows for more rapid update deployments to ensure every customer is on the latest version as soon as it’s released. It also enables easy access to information from any device and any location.

  • Real-time order status update: Track shipments’ in-transit status with an easy link and trigger customer updates when an order is received, approved, in-process, completed and shipped
  • Personalization: Users can design a template with their logo and custom messaging to send to customers when their order status changes
  • Mobility: Accessible anywhere that the customer can connect to their secure, online M1 product
  • Seamless Integration: Administrative rights and customer data are automatically synced between M1 hosted environment and the AWS environment
