Jim joined ECi as VP of Sales for the LBMH division in April 2019, coming from Neopost, a globally focused shipping and logistic software and services provider. While there, he saw firsthand the impact ecommerce and companies like Amazon were having on the lumber, building materials, and hardlines industries.  Before Neopost, Jim spent 18 years at Triad/Activant/Epicor growing from an Inside Sales Manager to Vice President of Sales, leading the focus on new account sales, customer sales, channel sales, lead development, and business development for all LBM and Hardlines platforms acquired by Epicor over his time there. 

Jim was able to learn from his roots through his grandfather, Jim Coop, who owned a retail store in which Jim worked along with his father, Jack. He combined that experience with his passion for technology to help small and mid-sized businesses successfully compete with the big boxes and prosper. 

A family of native Californians, he and his wife Angela and three grown children Lauren, Joseph, and Julia, reside in San Ramon. Jim enjoys golf, hiking, and gardening and must always have a home project in process to keep his DIY skills intact.
