Lasso customer success managers are not only customer experts but also bring valuable experience in the residential construction industry. In this blog, we feature Cori Masters, a customer success manager with Lasso CRM. We sat down with Cori to learn more about her experience in the home building industry, important lessons she's learned along the way, and get her advice to those new to the industry.
Cori Masters (CM): I work closely with our Lasso customers to ensure they get the most value out of Lasso and are successful in their business goals.
CM: I studied many things in various places, such as photography in Italy and business administration and tourism in Argentina.
CM: For this role, I learned from my experience as a long-term Lasso User (over 9 years using Lasso, day in and day out!). During my time as an OSC, I worked for different builders in North Carolina, Oklahoma, Virginia, and Idaho. This has allowed me to understand how Lasso can be used for different builders and needs.
CM: I spend most of my time in meetings with our Lasso users, understanding how they use the system and what they need from us. I also participate in implementation meetings and help introduce the program to our new clients. I work closely with management to help them leverage Lasso and get the most out of their investment.
CM: Attend as many free web classes and webinars as you can. You can also sign up and watch them on your lunch break. So much time and effort goes into crafting these, and the information compiled is invaluable.
CM: This industry has given me and my family so much! I love that I have been a part of it since the beginning of my career. Watching the OSC position grow and become more complex has been one of the most rewarding experiences! I also enjoyed participating in industry events and reconnecting with past coworkers and existing clients.
CM: I wish I could visit my clients onsite! Working remotely is amazing, but it's extremely rewarding to work one-on-one and face-to-face. However, it's hard to do when you have clients all over the U.S. and Canada.
CM: Be willing to learn. Humility is underrated. No matter how long you have been working in your career, there is always something new or a better way to do it. Be open to learning and stay humble.
CM: When I started in 2014, the OSC role was new-ish. I remember that OSCs used to work alone most of the time and never had time off. One of my favorite industry changes has been watching OSCs develop into OSC teams and being allowed to have days off and get more responsibilities within the organizations.
CM: I love my family and spending time outside with them! Since fall is finally starting, I am most looking forward to going to the pumpkin patch as much as possible with my family!
