ECi Software Solutions, a leader in cloud-based business management solutions, today released significant feature enhancements to its two LBMH industry-specific software products: Spruce, an end-to-end management software for the lumber and building materials business, and RockSolid MAX, a cloud-based POS software for independent hardware stores, home centers and convenience lumberyards. These updates will enable businesses in the LBM space to improve customer experience and loyalty and make general operations and communications more efficient. 

In addition to Spruce’s previously announced integration with Microsoft Dynamics® 365, this release offers many updates including the following significant enhancements: 

  • SmartKiosk – Allows customers to check prices on items, validate gift card balances and check rewards points
  • Item Analyzer “Update” option – Updates inventory from a vendor’s catalog for selected fields to repair incorrect or missing data
  • Category Mapping – Easily aligns groups and sections with catalog vendor’s categories
  • Advanced system message options – Gives system messages more functionality, for more efficient communication
  • Cash ticket receipt and document enhancements – Improves customer loyalty and simplifies item return processes by selecting additional elements to include in printed and stored cash ticket receipts
