Only the sessions that are available to you will be shown. Some sessions do require a certain skill level. Make sure you are qualified to take the sessions you sign up for.

  • What does my experience level need to be to attend sessions?

Sessions are provided for all skill levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced. The skill level will be indicated in the session description on the registration site.

  • What if I want to attend two sessions that are held at the same time?

Some sessions are offered more than once, so make sure there is not another time scheduled for one of the sessions you want to attend. If it is truly impossible for you to attend both, consult with ECI staff to get training materials from the session you do not attend.

  • What is the difference between the sessions and the lab?

The sessions are a group event and usually drill down into specific topics with visual aids provided to help further understanding and learning. In the Tech Lab, you can receive one-to-one, hands-on training on a specific aspect of your software.

  • Will more sessions be added? Can I continue to add sessions to my schedule?

Check back often, as we will add sessions up to one month before the conference. In addition, we will also cancel any sessions that do not receive the minimum number of attendees by that time. You may make changes to your schedule up to the conference start.

  • What is the Connect App and how do I get it?

The Connect App will contain everything you need for Connect 2020: the show guide, a map of the conference, the agenda, General Session and Keynote Speaker info, Preconference Workshops and sessions training materials, speakers’ bios, and a social media platform. You can upload your schedule to the app. Pretty nifty.

  • What is required during the sessions and do I need to bring anything?

Though training materials are provided through the app, it is advisable to take notes in whatever manner that works for you—pen and paper, notebook, phone, or laptop. Please bring the items with you, pens and paper will not be provided in the sessions.

  • What is included in my Preconference Workshops?

The closest airport is McCarran International and we have contracted with American Airlines for our 2020 Connect Conference in Las Vegas.

When booking online, enter the promotion code ‘22N0BB’ for a 4% discount. Place the Promotion Code in the promotion code box and your discount will be calculated automatically.

Reservations may also be made by calling 1-800-433-1790. Please reference the promotional code when you call.

  • Are there any flight restrictions or new regulations I should be aware of?

Yes, according to the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) beginning October 1, 2020, every United States Citizen 18 years of age and older will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, state-issued enhanced driver’s license, or another acceptable form of ID, for air travel within the United States.

You will still need your passport for international travel, and you can use your passport to verify your identity at the TSA checkpoint instead of a REAL ID-compliant state-issued driver’s license. However, if you plan to present your state driver’s license to verify your identity at the TSA checkpoint, that card must be REAL ID compliant.

How do you know if your current drivers license is REAL ID-complaint? REAL ID-compliant cards are marked with a star at the top of the card. If you’re not sure, contact your state driver’s license agency. For information by state, including where to obtain a REAL ID, visit the DHS REAL ID website and click your state on the map.

For more information about REAL ID and enhanced driver’s licenses, please visit the TSA website.

  • Is there transportation to and from the hotel and airport?
    • Uber, Lyft and taxis are readily available options for getting around Las Vegas.
    • To reserve a rental car at a discounted rate, contact Avis at 1-800-331-1600 (refer to AWD# B136001) or Budget at 1-800-433-5628 (refer to BCD# U001650). You can also log on to www.avis.com/aagroups or www.budget.com/aagroups.
  • Is parking included at the Cosmopolitan?

Yes. Please visit this page to learn more about parking at the hotel.

  • What kind of weather should I anticipate?

In most years, Las Vegas averages a daily maximum temperature for November that's between 63- and 70-degrees Fahrenheit (17 to 21 degrees Celsius). The minimum temperature usually falls between 44 and 49 °F (7 to 10 °C). Nearly every November day warms to over 50 °F (10 °C) in Las Vegas. It’s not a bad idea to check the forecast for Las Vegas before you travel and pack accordingly. Expect the meeting rooms to be chilly so bring a jacket or sweater to stay comfortable during sessions.

  • What is the dress for the conference?

For the Preconference Workshops, General Session, opening reception, and the education sessions, dress is business casual. Nice jeans, khakis, slacks, skirts, and dresses are all appropriate. Tank tops, hats for men, cut-offs, torn clothing, running and yoga apparel, and t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics are not permitted at most places and are not appropriate for Connect activities. Look for a Know Before You Go email in the weeks before the conference for information on items you should bring.

Going out to experience Las Vegas? Check the venues’ websites to determine what you should wear.
