Capture Meter Readings Remotely in Four Ways
FMAudit offers a comprehensive set of tools for capturing meter readings:
Viewer USB Helps You Close Sales Faster
Viewer USB reduces the time and effort spent making an initial assessment, streamlining your sales efforts:
- Insert Viewer USB into a client's networked computer, and quickly get data for all networked printers
- Get a second reading, so you can estimate monthly volumes, without having to make another sales call: email a WebAudit link to collect this data remotely.
- Create valuable TCO reports from your data
- Export data directly to proposal generation software
- Close sales in days instead of weeks!
WebAudit Collects Meter Readings Without Installing Software
Some clients don't want you to install meter collection software on their networks. But visiting a client's site to gather readings is expensive and inefficient. WebAudit solves this problem: you email a link to your client. When clicked, WebAudit opens in a web browser, and searches for networked printers, and returns meter readings. Your client can review the readings for sending them on to you.
Onsite Collects Meter Readings Automatically at Pre-Set Intervals
If your client lets you install software on their servers, you can use Onsite, which offers several advantages:
- You can automatically collect readings at pre-set intervals
- Readings flow directly to your ERP system, so you can generate timely, accurate billings: no need to wait for clients to send you their readings
- Onsite works well with firewalls
- You can check the status of your client's printers at any time
Local Agent Collects Readings from Non-Networked Printers
Printers that are not on a client's network can be a challenge for a managed print services dealer, leading to lost revenue from meter billings, and missed opportunities for supply sales. Local Agent solves this problem by allowing non-networked printers to be seen and read by any of FMAudit's meter reading tools: WebAudit, Viewer USB, and Onsite.
Local Agent is a small application that you install on each PC that has a non-networked printer connection.

Selling Supplies Automatically
FMAudit lets you generate supply orders automatically, offering your customers the convenience of receiving toner orders just when they need them. We offer tools for printers under contract and for non-contract printers.
Supply Triggered Delivery® Increases Revenue by Automating Supply Sales
Automating toner sales for contract printers with Supply Triggered Delivery benefits you and your customers:
- Increase sales to your managed print services accounts
- Improve customer service
- Reduce inventory
- Lower your overhead and reduce costs.
How does Supply Triggered Delivery Work?
To begin, you set a supply delivery threshold for each managed device. Heavily used printers may need new toner when their cartridges reach 50 percent usage, for instance, and a lightly used printer may be set to use 95 percent of its toner before you ship new toner.
When a printer reaches the toner level you specify, it generates a supply order. This order gets transmitted to your ERP system for billing and shipment.
Supply Triggered Marketing Helps You Sell Supplies for Non-Contract Printers
Increase your toner sales by offering to sell toner just when your customer needs it:
- Your FMAudit system monitors toner levels for all non-contract printers on a client's network
- At a pre-determined level, we generate a courtesy email to your customer, which contains a link to your online toner store. (Don't have an online store? No problem, we'll set one up for you.)

Total Cost of Ownership Reports for Compelling Sales Proposals
Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reports make it easier to sell—and keep—managed print services contracts.
FMAudit's TCO reports let you quickly determine how many printers a client has, and what it costs to own those printers. With this key information, you can build compelling sales proposals that show the benefits of your managed print services.
Our TCO reports also help you retain clients: you can present reports showing a client's TCO before and after implementing your services.
How It Works
FMAudit maintains a database with detailed information on over 10,000 printers and MFPs. It includes supply costs, yields, part numbers, and more, with over 130 fields for each model. We update this database daily and synchronize it with your FMAudit server, so you're always working with the latest data.
TCO reports combine this detailed printer information with current street prices for toner. Our TCO reports use this data and the meter readings you take to quickly calculate accurate costs.

Complete Two-Way Integration with Your ERP System
Instead of simply pushing meter readings to your ERP system, like our competitors do, FMAudit offers true two-way integration with your business system:
- FMAudit sends meter readings to your ERP system for billing
- We pull asset tags (equipment IDs) from your ERP, and use them to match printers and MFPs with your customer accounts
- We automatically match devices to asset tags, unlike other systems where you must do this manually
- FMAudit is built with Microsoft's .NET technology, letting us integrate seamlessly with other applications
- FMAudit integrates seamlessly with ECi OMD, ECi La Crosse, ECi DDMS, and many other popular ERP systems
