MultiLoader Issue With Existing Contracts, Dates
Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010
Dear O/PUS Customers:
Problem
You are receiving this message because you loaded a specific version of the O/PUS UpdateUNI.exe multiloader software. We have discovered a defect in the options to delete existing contract files and to set new beginning & end dates.
Symptoms
As a result, consumer contracts may expire according to previous settings, and may still contain older items where your dealership is no longer receiving special pricing.
Conditions
This issue may only affect dealers under ALL the following conditions:
- If you use UpdateUNI.exe multiloader software to process multiple United Stationers catalogs, price plans, matrix or other files. (If you do not load United Stationers files, this issue does not affect you.)
AND
- If you use the same contract names whenever you use UpdateUNI.exe (If you created new contract names for 2010 and assigned them to your customers, this issue does not affect you.)
AND
- If you have checked the box to Delete Existing Contract in the UpdateUNI wizard.
Solution
If those conditions apply to you, the O/PUS team has resolved this issue in a software update for UpdateUNI.exe, version V00105a.
To protect your margins and ensure proper begin and end dates are set for your customer price plans, follow these steps:
- Install the new UpdateUNI.exe version V00105a using PSNControl: On your DDMS server, click Start > Programs > PSN Control > PSNControl, then add UPDATEUNI and to the File Transfer List, and click Transfer Now. PSNControl will place UpdateUNI.exe file in your \program files\opus\simple folder, and place an icon on your desktop.
- Once you transfer the updated software, double-click the new UpdateUNI.exe on your desktop, and use the Select checkbox in each page to re-process the same Price Plans, Catalogs, and Matrix files. Rest assured, no other procedures are needed. For detailed instructions, see Load Multiple United Stationers Price Files At Once (pdf).
On behalf of O/PUS, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Sincerely,
ECi DDMS Technical Support |
